GdS: Milan unconvinced by midfielder as €15m deal with Chelsea falls to lowest priority

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been far from convinced by Tiemoue Bakayoko in his second spell at the club so far and thus his future remains uncertain, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Bakayoko sealed his return to Milan from Chelsea over the summer via the formula of a two-year loan with an option to buy set at €15m that can become an obligation to buy upon the occurrence of certain conditions (only in the second season).

It currently seems ‘crazy’ to imagine the Rossoneri splashing €15m on a player who represents the fourth or even fifth-choice for the double pivot at the moment behind Bennacer, Kessie, Tonali and even Krunic at times.

Of course, there is also the opportunity for Bakayoko to regain form given that so far he has only started in 5 of his 17 appearances. On the list of possible loan purchases though, the Frenchman’s name is the last on the list of priorities behind Brahim Diaz, Florenzi and even Junior Messias.

  1. Not just he doesn’t fit with Pioli double pivot but he made plenty of blunder that cost Milan 3 points.

Buying him is mostly out of the picture especially with €15 million price tag.
