AC Milan are in the market for another striker, but the role they will play in the pecking order remains to be decided.
Milan had the rather remarkable record of having used five different starting strikes in 2024-25. Alvaro Morata, Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic, Francesco Camarda and Santiago Gimenez all had the chance at various points.

Going into the summer window, Gimenez and Camarda are the only two guarantees. Morata is out on loan at Galatasaray, while Abraham’s loan will soon expire and Jovic’s deal will run out.
Evaluations for Allegri
According to what Gianluca Di Marzio reported during ‘Calciomercato – L’Originale’ on Sky (via MilanNews), there is certainly a striker on Milan’s list of targets for the summer transfer window.

The new head coach Massimiliano Allegri wants to evaluate Gimenez in the preseason training camp, to see if he is the right fit for his system and his ideas, but it seems certain he will stay.
Thus, the second striker could be either an alternative to the Mexican or a starter if the Mexican does not give the right answers to Allegri in the first few outings.
Who might that be? As a reminder, the new sporting director Igli Tare met with the agent of Lorenzo Lucca last week and he is a name that has been mentioned a lot.
More recently, the name of Aleksandar Mitrovic emerged. He is under contract until 2026 with Al-Hilal, having scored 47 goals in 51 Saudi Pro League games since moving there.

Unless Jović isn’t kept, I don’t see why we should go for another striker.
We will play once a week, focus on developping Camarda and we have 2 strikers in Jović and Giménez.
Agree with this, that trio should be plenty. Especially as there’s a reasonable chance of Morata being back in January too. Better places to invest money. Ultimately, the board made the choice to back Gimenez… whether he’s Allegri’s choice or not he’s going to have to try to get something from him.
Agree
But if we really want a striker, and since we’re looking for leaders, title winners, experienced players,… might as well try for C.Ronaldo.
He’ll fit with Modrić and was always coached by Allegri and has more flair for the goal than any of our players.
The issue is his salary.
lmaooo
We have no issue up front, what we need is to trim down. I like Abraham and Jovic, but because of playing time and development of Carmada, I don’t mind that both leave.
I hope Allegri sticks with Carmada. Gimenez he has to manage him. That’s why he’s a coach. You can’t always have all the pieces you need.
With Jovic we know what we get and can spend more on more urgent positions. It’s not like we have 100M€ to spend on each position, now do we?
