There is no chance that Charles De Ketelaere leaves AC Milan in the summer despite a disappointing first season at the club, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) writes how De Ketelaere arrived last summer from Club Brugge for a fee of €35m and although there have not been the desired returns so far in the current campaign, he will be bet on next season too.

The Belgian has never really been able to impose himself, having lost his starting position over the past few months and having gone a year without a goal, with his last one coming in April last year with Brugge.
It is expected that De Ketelaere will start tomorrow’s game against Empoli on the bench even though Brahim Díaz should too, because Alexis Saelemaekers will be the right winger in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Rade Krunić or Ismael Bennacer in the role of attacking midfielder.
35 million is nothing in today’s football. I don’t want to hear any of the Milan accountants who will make this investment sound like 100 mil. If CDK is a miss it’s okay. I’m just worried about Milan recruitment strategy. You can’t use a buy young raw talent approach and be behind on emerging talent. The new owners I hope they will spend more than what has been spent on CDK in coming years. And pay more.
I can’t believe that some fans Leao is not worth 7 mil a year. I’m disappointed that Milan fails to pay a player that much while Inter and Juve has few players on that salary.
35 millions is a lot, especially for Milan who financially still in the red. The only clubs who can say the numbers are nothing are EPL clubs, Madrid, PSG, and Bayern. Outside those, no clubs can say 35 millions is cheap.
I’m glad Leeds didn’t sign him. 35 million plus is a hig3 sum. We bought Rutter instead. He’s also setting the world on fire. Young players need game time. They’d be better off either going out on loan or continuing to play at a lower level. Random minutes and being slagged off by fans and media will inevitably impede their progress.
