Milan with the third best average distance covered this season

By Muaz Kayani -

Despite having participated in only two out of three matchdays so far this season, Milan is third in terms of average distance covered per team in all of Serie A.

In addition to having proven himself a skilled tactician, coach Gennaro Gattuso has imparted his trademark grinta to the Milan squad as well. The players seem to be giving it their all on the pitch.

As per the official Lega Serie A statistics, AC Milan has recorded an impressive average of 113.7 kilometres covered per game. Only Bologna (115) and Chievo Verona (114) have a better average.

It’s no wonder Milan has shown themselves to be capable of shutting down both Napoli and Roma for the first 45 minutes. It remains to be seen if Gattuso can manage to make the team perform like that from the first whistle to the last.

Milan will return to action against Cagliari on the 16th of September, marking the beginning of a busy two weeks in which they play a total of five games. A real test for this new, high-intensity Milan!
