There are three possible destinations for Hakan Calhanoglu should he decide not to renew his contract with AC Milan, according to a report.
MilanLive writes how Calhanoglu’s priority – at least according to sources close to the situation – remains to find an agreement with Milan as he feels at the centre of the project and does not intend to leave the team that launched him.
However, if he were not able to find an agreement in the next two months to extend his contract, there seems to be no shortage of suitors, starting with Juventus. Milan’s historic rivals have enquired about the 27-year-old and while much will depend on where Juve finish and the coaching situation, Calhanoglu’s profile is appreciated regardless.
Then there is Arsenal, who are ‘ready to revolutionise’ their squad after a very disappointing season, and they have held discussions with Calhanoglu’s entourage. If the Gunners fail to keep Ceballos and Odegaard – both on loan from Real Madrid – they could make a concrete attempt.
Finally, there is the romantic option of a move to join his boyhood team Galatasaray. Calhanoglu has repeatedly admitted to cheering for the Istanbul club in the past and to one day wanting to play for them, and it cannot be ruled out that such an opportunity arises in the summer.
