ML: Milan ready to step up pursuit of Arsenal-linked midfielder – deal can be done at €15m

AC Milan have a clear approach regarding their pursuit of Red Bull Salzburg midfield star Dominik Szoboszlai, according to a report.

It was reported by MilanNews on Monday night that Milan are keen on the Hungary international but are making economic assessments and are working with some intermediaries to try to lower Salzburg’s demands.

The goal is to try to reduce the cost of the transfer fee, because his salary is well within range and there should be no problem in satisfying Szoboszlai on personal terms.

The latest from MilanLive on Tuesday suggests a similar situation: they believe Ralf Rangnick would love to work with the 19-year-old should he start a new adventure in Italy.

The club’s will is clear, however: to lower Salzburg’s economic demands. The current asking price is €20million, while Milan aims to get him for €15m at most. However, there is competition from Lazio and other teams to beat, with Liverpool, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig all credited with interest.
