MN: AC Milan in pole position as Gattuso requests Badelj

By Madison Derian-Toth -

Per MilanNews.it, AC Milan manager Rino Gattuso has personally requested the former Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj.

Previous reports stated the midfielder was close to signing an agreement with Zenit, but as AC Milan and Gattuso are knocking on the door, Badelj has put all talks with the Russian club on hold.

However, with the Rossoneri midfield crowded, it’s unsure where the Croatian international will fit in. Locatelli’s reported move to Sassuolo could possibly unlock the deal, but new owner Elliott haven’t made a decision on the youngster yet.

Badelj helped his Croatia reach the World Cup final this summer whilst playing in three games, finding the back of the net once, and assisting another.
