MN: AC Milan intensify contacts with Wigan over €12m defender – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Ricardo Rodriguez is destined to leave the club this month, and thus AC Milan are looking for a left-back on the transfer market. By the looks of it, they have found the perfect backup for Theo Hernandez.

As has been reported in recent days – and now confirmed by MilanNews.it – Antonee Robinson is one of the Rossoneri’s first choices to replace the Swiss international on the left flank. In fact, negotiations are already underway for the 22-year-old American.

Per the report, Boban and Maldini have intensified the contacts with Championship side Wigan, hoping to reach an agreement soon. The directors are working to lower the price tag of Robinson, which currently stands at €10-12m.

Meanwhile, the complications that previously slowed down Rodriguez’s move to Fenerbahce have now been taken care of. Therefore, the former Wolfsburg man is ready to leave his Milan adventure behind and start a new one in Turkey.
