MN: Adli expected to depart Milan in January due to struggles with rhythm

By Oliver Fisher -

There should be some outgoings in the January transfer window for AC Milan and Yacine Adli has been mentioned specifically in a report.

Pietro Mazzara writes in his column for MilanNews that it will be a strange month and a half break for the World Cup, where the issue of Rafael Leao’s renewal and the January transfer market will dominate the front pages with regards to the Rossoneri.

There are several areas that need addressing because Milan are facing a difficult battle to retain the Scudetto, given they are eight points behind Napoli who lead the league, so we must see if Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara deem it necessary to intervene with some signings.

There will almost certainly be some exits and Yacine Adli is mentioned specifically. The Frenchman is not getting playing time because he is finding it difficult getting up to the rhythms Pioli wants, and the head coach he sees him and works with him every day to come to that conclusion.Yacine Adli

  1. Stop playing Diaz. Maldini needs to step in!
Diaz is a paradox. He plays well, Milan will lose him in 6 months time as RM have buy back clause. He plays badly, he will deny Adil and CDK (Milan owned players) a chance to grow and integrate with the team. By the time Adil n CDk starts to shine 2yrs later, thier contracts are due and they leave for free. Imho Diaz has to be the last option in the bench.

    1. Unfortunately, this isn’t a league where Milan have the luxury of experimenting – short term is king because UCL qualification it critical and it’s not guaranteed for any club until the last few games of the season, at most.

So if Diaz is who Pioli thinks is most likely to help Milan qualify then by all means use him whilst available. The same logic was why Kessie continued to play an important role until the end last year, despite it being clear he was leaving since the summer before.

      1. Spot on R. I would also say it’s the same logic that lead the club to hang on to Kessie, Calhanoglu and Donnarumma until their contracts ran down, as it was deemed more important in the long run to try qualify for the CL than it was to earn x from a sale in the final year of their contract and not have a proper replacement guaranteed.

      2. No time to experimenting? So what do you call a coach changing players every game. What about performance from set pieces if not there? Players minds fogging with clown coach already

The only Pioli still working is he’s a typical yes man. Amerucan business mentality loves this Yes Man character

    2. If he plays well, Milan will get good results. And that’s all that matter. Couldn’t care less about his contractual situation etc. Whoever delivers will play. Plain and simple.

  2. rebic/ origi pioli are willing to give chance but are unperform in many match,
Diaz should suit in rotation more than a first team,

this summer transfer so far was great failure, none of the NEW player do impact to the match & even the first team
yesterday match (& maybe more)show milan attacking is lack of organizaion, and defender/ gk use long pass to FW while our FW cant hold the ball well , the progression lost … while. omparing to napoli , we are behind of it several classes

    1. Apex, playing against Fiorentina is difficult. Despite their position in the standings, they often have greater possession in their games and make it difficult for opponents to pass around the midfield. That being said, I do agree that sometimes Milan look disjointed. As to Napoli, they’ve technically earned a lot more and spent a lot more than Milan in recent years (ex. Osimhen for 80m). Honestly, the fact that Napoli haven’t won a scudetto in the last 5-6 years is surprising. Ironically it looks like they may finally do it after having gotten rid of the spine that carried them for so many years (Insigne, Fabian Ruiz, Koulibaly, Ospina).

      1. if you see match among other team, no team would like to play like AC milan yesterday , play high ball and lose ,
        for long ball,
if you see inter / napoli , they can pass to FW and hold the ball well,
for short ball they can push from DF to Fw even high pressing,
but you see yesterday Milan was unable to do either.

        1. Milan lack creativity and passing skills in midfield, The key is to provide good balls to attackers but we don’t do that. It’s not in the repertoire of Milan players to give fast & accurate passes forward. Most of the balls are slow and in the air and easy to intercept. And even if they do eventually land on target, the defenders are making the lives of the attackers hard as the #10 goes missing 95% of the time and doesn’t give the support the (other) attackers need.

Kalulu might be the only Milan player who uses fast & accurate forward-going passes but that’s not sufficient. We need a (Pirlo-esque) midfielder to control the game and open up defenses.

  3. Have any on you commenting, ever played on the highest level of any sport or particular football?

You keep talking like it’s some sort of game or business.

If Pioli deems Adli not ready for the team, based purely on the training sessions etc. How would any of you know if he still deserves a spot or a call up in to the games?
Have you ever tried to play with a teammate who just didn’t fit in? That one weak link in the chain is enough to ruin the team, even on lower levels.
How are we not trusting Pioli at the moment? Be a fan, be a supporter. No matter how much football you played, how much you watched or whatever, you are not at expert and you know nothing in the end. End of discussion.

    1. “No matter how much football you played, how much you watched or whatever, you are not at expert and you know nothing in the end. End of discussion.”

You like a typical corporate yes man who has a brown nose for all the sucking up. End of discussion? F*** that! This is a comment section and it’s here for discussions.

So, what does it take for “us” to become an expert? Is there a degree for it? Can we take lessons or trainings to get the certificate for it? LOL. Ridiculous. It’s good to know that while we don’t know **** at least there is one guy here who knows everything and tells the others to STFU. LOL. 😀 😀 😀
