Accusations have been made in recent seasons that AC Milan rely too much on one player for goals or rather that they don’t score enough in general, but this season something has changed.
As MilanNews reports, the goal scored on Sunday night by Yacine Adli against Roma means that Milan have now had 12 different scorers in the league after 20 rounds of action.
Only two teams in Serie A have more different goal scorers than the Rossoneri: Juventus and Frosinone, both of whom are on 13.
Here is the list of all the Rossoneri players who have scored in the league in 2023-24: Olivier Giroud, Christian Pulisic, Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao, Noah Okafor, Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tijjani Reijnders, Luka Jovic, Jan-Carlo Simic, Chaka Traorè and Yacine Adli.
Given the over-reliance on certain players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rafael Leao and even the likes of Carlos Bacca and Jeremy Menez before them in the darker periods of the mid 2010s, having such a spread attacking threat is something for Pioli to enjoy.
The wings are very emblematic in this sense, given that Leao was for the last three seasons the major threat and opponents could double team him, but now Pulisic has arrived and is scoring it frees space and creates a multi-pronged attack.
Maignan needs to start scoring goals instead of stopping them all the time! Ridiculous!
LMAO!!!
Last season, our bottlenecks was RW and AM, since we had Saladmaker, Brahim Diaz, CDK, and Lord Krunic but now things are slowly changed.
