Ismael Bennacer has been one of AC Milan’s best players in the second half of this season and after having a goal disallowed last time out, he will be out for revenge. Luckily, he will be available against Lazio on Sunday.
The Algerian midfielder is currently a starter for Milan after initially fighting with Franck Kessie and Sandro Tonali, while also struggling with some injuries. Given his recent form, and Kessie’s move to the attacking trio, starting him makes a lot of sense.
According to MilanNews, Bennacer didn’t take part in the group training at Milanello earlier today as he carried out an individual program. This is nothing to worry about, however, as it was planned by the medical staff.
He’s expected to be back in the group tomorrow (Saturday) and thus his availability for the game against Lazio isn’t at risk, as things stand. It would be a huge blow for Stefano Pioli if he can’t make it, but he should be there from the first minute.
