MN: Boost for Pioli ahead of Hellas Verona clash as right-sided duo return to training

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is hoping to be able to include two right-sided players in his plans for Sunday’s visit of Hellas Verona.

Milan were unable to call upon both Davide Calabria and Alexis Saelemaekers for Thursday night’s Europa League game against Lille and their absence was felt as their respective replacements Diogo Dalot and Samu Castillejo both struggled in a 3-0 defeat to the Ligue 1 side.

According to the latest from MilanNews, the Milan squad returned to work on Friday at Milanello in view of Sunday’s match against Verona, and Calabria and Saelemaekers rejoined the group.

It can therefore be construed that both are aiming to return to Pioli’s disposal for the home match against Ivan Juric’s side, in which Milan will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to 19 games in Serie A.
