MN: Botman, Florenzi, Origi and more – the latest on Milan’s mercato plans

By Isak Möller -

Milan failed to make the most of a big crowd at San Siro last night as they only got a 0-0 draw against Bologna. Off the pitch, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working on preparations for next season.

During the international break, there was a bit more focus on the summer mercato and it’s becoming clear that Milan will make some investments. From Sven Botman to Divock Origi, the Rossoneri have some clear targets.

According to Anto Vitiello in his latest piece for MilanNews, Origi’s move to Milan is very close to being agreed upon. The striker has already decided that he wants to join the Rossoneri and the next few days could be decisive.

Furthermore, Milan are also evaluating the permanent purchase of Alessandro Florenzi, who has a €4.5m buy-out clause in his contract. Maldini and Massara are happy with his performances and he will also be important for the squad list rules, as he’s Italian.

The Rossoneri are also following the likes of Sven Botman and Renato Sanches, who have been on their radar for quite some time. But Tiemoue Bakayoko and Fode Ballo-Toure could also leave, with evaluations underway on that.

  1. They can forget about the center back and forcus on a CF ,no_10 and a LWF , players of maturity and experience and not a try and error ,the team now is good to go just need a boost of some upgrade players to cup it .

  2. I think Milan should concentrate on the remaining games. There is a golden chance this year to win the Scudetto and Milan is committing suicide….
    Milan NEEDS trophies.

  3. Milan should forget Origi and go all out for Scamacca
with last game against Bologna its the third game in a row that the front four dont produce one single goal and they want to bring one player that never hits double digits!

  4. Still talking about Botman, Man City has entered the race to sign Charles de Kateleare from Brugge.

We can’t be this insensitive to our needs.
After last night I didn’t expect to be seeing irrelevant signing prospects.

  5. People get mad wen someone says that AC Milan should get Scamacca because Sassoulo is asking for 40 m wich they say is to much! If you spend that money in Scamacca you are gonna have a good striker for the next 10 years and in on season where he helps the get to Champions League places or win the Scudetto you get back what you spend on him!

    1. The problem are why you just spend 40m euro cash while there are free transfer striker like origi, belotti,Lacazette ( just sign one of them) . You buy scamacca then our RW are awful ,our CB have no depth ,our AMF depend on player loaned from real Madrid ( Brahim) . We need budget for CB,AMF,RW. First i Will talk from CB : Romagnoli out free transfer leaving us with Tomori, kalulu,Kjaer, gabbia ( not funny the depth are ACL injury Kjaer and gabbia) . Second AMF : don’t forget Brahim strugle this season and he is real Madrid player,we need budget for AMF like Charles ketelare or barak. Third RW : this is most awful and weakest position in our team ,we need about 25-35m euro budget to buy quality RW. For kessie leave,we already covered in there by tonali, bennacer, pobega, adili, krunic

  6. When we have good performances, we give all the praise to our attackers (especially Leao). When they struggle we blast them and focus on purchasing others to replace them. This is our second season under new direction, we have come very far and lets step back a moment from all the criticism and appreciate the team that Milan have built. I think the players would benefit more from our support at this stage of the season
