MN: Brahim Diaz travels with Milan squad to Croatia but Dest is absent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach has decided to take Brahim Diaz as part of the squad for the game against Dinamo Zagreb but Sergino Dest will remain in Italy.

There was some alarm during Saturday’s game as Stefano Pioli made a change at half-time with Sergino Dest coming off in place of Pierre Kalulu which seemed strange at the time given that the USA international had been having a good game and probably his best start since arriving, then Brahim Diaz requested to come off while clutching the top of his leg.

MilanNews reports that at 16:00 CEST Milan will take off from Malpensa airport and will fly to Zagreb in view of tomorrow’s match against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League group stages.

Brahim Diaz will be one of the passengers along with his Rossoneri team-mates as he has been deemed fit enough to play at least a part in the game, but Dest will not leave with the team and will remain in Milan due to the muscle problem remedied against Monza.

  1. So our only available options at central defender will be Kjaer and Gabbia because Thiaw is not in the UCL squad list? Incredibly nervous situation for such an important fixture.
