MN: Caldara’s recovery complete – the schedule for his return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Mattia Caldara is closing in on his return to action as further details have emerged regarding his recovery.

Caldara sustained a serious injury back on April 24th in the Coppa Italia against Lazio, when he ruptured the cruciate ligament of his left knee.

It has been a long road to recovery given the severe nature of the injury, and Calciomercato.com in August claimed that Caldara would be back in action in October at the earliest.

An update from Tuttosport (via Calciomercato) on Thursday then confirmed that the 24-year-old will be back training with his fellow team-mates in the middle of October.

According to MilanNews.it, Caldara will start working with the group again next week, after the game against Genoa.

The goal is for him to be called up between the end of October and the beginning of November, and then begin to play.

It is also possible that, to test him out, Caldara plays a Primavera game.
