If Hakan Calhanoglu were to renew his contract with AC Milan it could allow the management to spend more in other areas, according to a report.
The saga surrounding Calhanoglu’s contract has dragged on for months and we are seemingly no closer to understanding whether or not the Turkey international will commit his future to the Rossoneri amid links with the likes of Inter, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
According to MilanNews, at Casa Milan they hope that a phone call will arrive this week from Calhanoglu’s agent Gordon Stipic to sign the renewal after the number one replacement – Rodrigo De Paul – appears to be on his way to Atletico Madrid.
Should Hakan remain, there would be the possibility of investing much more on the striker and on the right winger positions as per the report. Stefano Pioli has made it clear that he wants Domenico Berardi, but the already high asking price could continue to rise during the Euros.
