MN: Colombo likely to remain as Milan’s third-choice striker this season

Lorenzo Colombo has been linked with another loan move this summer but it seems the youngster could remain at the club after all. Stefano Pioli believes the youngster is good enough to be the third choice, a report claims.

As we reported back on Monday, Stefano Pioli is happy with what he has seen from Colombo during the pre-season so far. As a result, he told the Milan management that the youngster could perhaps be the third-choice striker for this season.

According to a report from MilanNews today, Colombo is indeed more likely to remain at Milan than to leave on loan. He should be the third choice for the No.9 role behind Olivier Giroud and Noah Okafor.

With the Rossoneri participating in Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Champions League, Colombo will certainly get playing time. He will also be useful for the squad lists as he’s a homegrown player, which is ever so important these days.

  1. Who is our second striker??? Cause Okafor is not a real #9 and if Giroud goes down we will be in some trouble if we have to rely on Columbo

    1. Last season he played rough 1600 minutes and scored 6 goals and assisted 2 thats roughly 18 full matches where he contributed with either goals or assists in every secomd fully played match and that for relegation batteling team like lecce where he most deffently didnt have the service he will get here. I think he will do fine with us even though i actually liked the idea of veliz joining us.

  2. Well I hope this is true, we need homegroen talent to be given a chance for once, I have 100% faith in Colombo👍
    Forza Milan

  3. Indonesian is one of the richest football club owner in Italia. Hopefully they can promote to Serie A next season and bring some Indonesia talent to Italia.
