MN: Comeback beckons for Kjaer as Milan prepare for friendly against Marseille

By Isak Möller -

Simon Kjaer has recovered from the serious knee injury that kept him out for eight months and could make his comeback on the pitch very soon. In fact, he might even feature for AC Milan tomorrow.

It was initially thought that the Dane would get a few minutes in the friendly against Wolfsberger mid-week. That wasn’t the case but according to MilanNews, it’s possible that he could get a few minutes against Marseille tomorrow.

Milan, and above all the medical staff, have made it clear that they don’t want to rush Kjaer’s return especially since it’s just pre-season anyway. Stefano Pioli will evaluate his condition today and then make a decision on tomorrow’s game.

It should be noted that the recovery has gone according to plan and Kjaer has followed the program perfectly. In theory, therefore, he should be ready for a few minutes by now but we will have to wait and see.
