MN: Elliott give green light to raise renewal offer to Kessie – new meeting expected soon

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan plan to increase their offer to Franck Kessie having received the green light from owners Elliott Management, according to a report.

MilanNews writes that the Rossoneri will have to increase their offer to Franck Kessie, whose contract expires on 30 June 2022, but the management and the owners are aware of this and are willing to give the Ivorian a pay rise compared to €2.2m net per season that he currently earns.

In the next few days there should be new contacts with Kessie’s entourage to raise the bid and get closer to the €6m net that his agent asked for during the most recent talks, although no figure is mentioned in the report.

The will of the club is to keep the 24-year-old after a fantastic 2020-21 season, and the farewells of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu on free transfers has placed some added pressure on the successful outcome of the negotiations.
