AC Milan have decided that for now they will resist the enquiries that have arrived for centre-back Mattia Caldara and evaluate him in preseason.
Caldara was loaned out to Atalanta during the January window in 2020 with the formula of an 18-month loan plus an option to buy, but after an injury-riddled spell La Dea have decided not to exercise that option and therefore Caldara has returned from Bergamo.
According to what is being reported by MilanNews, enquiries have arrived in recent days for Caldara, even from abroad, but for now these are only simple requests for information rather than anything too concrete or detailed.
The central defender will indeed return to Milanello after the 18-month loan and Milan want to evaluate him during the summer retreat which should start on 8 July (the official date is expected soon). Caldara has a contract that binds him to the Rossoneri until June 2023, it is worth noting.
