MN: Florenzi’s words of wisdom must lead Milan in final Scudetto push

Alessandro Florenzi scored just two minutes after coming off the bench for Milan against Hellas Verona last night. Afterwards, he delivered a speech of experience and highlighted why he’s an important figure for the Rossoneri.

The experienced Italian was brought in on an initial loan deal ahead of the season and he has impressed thus far. So much that Milan are evaluating the €4.5m buy-out option in his contract, despite the injuries suffered (he only just recovered from one).

As highlighted by MilanNews, ever since Florenzi ran over to the Curva Sud when Hakan Calhanoglu celebrated his goal in the derby, Milan fans knew they could count on him. A leader both on and off the pitch, which this young Rossoneri side needs.

And after last night’s clash, Florenzi delivered words of wisdom in his interview with DAZN (read in full here): “Let’s not think too far ahead. Let’s just think about this moment and that’s it. The moment is now, it’s time to ride and give everything. Let’s continue like this and think only about Atalanta”.

Even after he scored the deciding 3-1 goal last night, he remained focused and concentrated during the interview. The work is indeed not done yet and Florenzi will be an important leader for Milan in the final Scudetto push.

  1. He is better than Calabria. He’s also better than Messias/Saelemakers… he should start instead of coming off the bench.
