MN: Further updates on Maignan’s recovery time expected tomorrow

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have struggled with many injuries at the start of this season and it isn’t getting any better. Over the international break, Daniel Maldini, Junior Messias and now Mike Maignan have been added to the injury list.

Maignan has been experiencing pain in his left wrist recently and will thus undergo an arthroscopy tomorrow. This decision was taken after consultation with a specialist and it’s obviously a big blow for the Rossoneri.

According to MilanNews, more details on the recovery time will be provided by the club tomorrow, when the intervention has been completed. Milan can only hope that their star goalkeeper won’t be out for too long.

The first reports suggest that it will be at least 10-15 days, which means that Ciprian Tatarusanu will have to step in to cover for Maignan. Far from reassuring, given that the Romanian hasn’t always provided good performances.
