MN: Gazidis-Maldini in constant contact; decision on future postponed – latest on Rangnick

By Oliver Fisher -

After the departure of Zvonimir Boban, there has been a lot of speculation in the media regarding what will happen to Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

According to what MilanNews are reporting, the situation involving Maldini is stationary and not as dynamite as it could have been following Boban’s rather dramatic exit.

CEO Ivan Gazidis and Maldini are in constant daily contact for updates regarding both the decisions that are made buy Lega Serie A and regarding the conduct of training and the management of this very complicated period from a health point of view, given that Milanello was closed for the week.

At the moment, the positions of Maldini and Massara are not the subject of debate, but this does not mean that discussions on the future of the two managers are not made during the summer.

At the moment, there are no talks or meetings regarding Maldini’s immediate position. Also, the situation relating to Ralf Rangnick is constantly evolving, with the German manager – who will still leave Red Bull in the summer regardless – is showing ‘more than one perplexity’ about a possible move to Milan.

That’s why Stefano Pioli’s position, also in view of the next season, could be strengthened.
