MN: Good news filters regarding Ibrahimovic’s recovery – when he aims to be back by

By Oliver Fisher -

Good news has filtered regarding the condition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the striker is on course to return for the start of the season.

A statement on the club’s official website confirmed that Ibrahimović underwent arthroscopic surgery of the left knee at the UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital in Rome. The Swede damaged his knee in Milan’s win over Juventus last month, which sparked fears as to whether he could be set for another long spell away from the game.

MilanNews writes that signs are coming from Ibrahimovic’s rehabilitation path as the Swede is training every day with the aim of being able to run within 15 days and then to begin training with the rest of the group.

The 39-year-old has one mission in mind: to be called up for the first game of the season. However, signing striker seems to be something that the management are keen to do after they were caught short several times last season, and the club are keeping contacts with the agent of Santos forward Kaio Jorge alive.
