MN: 16 days and around €60m spent – how Milan’s business affects 2023-24 accounts

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been one of the most active clubs in the summer window so far as they have made four signings with a fifth to follow next week.

MilanNews writes that Milan sold Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United for a figure of €80m including bonuses and when factoring in the signings of Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic and the imminent arrival of Tijjani Reijnders, the amount spend reaches around €60m.

However, an important aspect to consider is not the overall amount of the transfer fees but how much it will cost in amortisation for next season, as well as the cost of the gross salary.

  1. Another midfielder, RW and CF needed? 20 mil from Tonali’s sale left and the 35-50 we had to operate with? Should be doable.

  2. Signing bonuses are missing from the stats. Not that those are public information but still they’re affecting the budget.
