MN: Ibrahimovic has one significant milestone left to reach at Milan

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has renewed his contract with AC Milan and will remain until at least the summer of 2023. The Swede has achieved a lot with the Rossoneri but there is one milestone left to reach.

Milan’s announcement earlier today didn’t exactly come as a surprise to anyone. In fact, the renewal has been more or less done for quite some time now and there was never any doubt from either party.

Ibrahimovic is currently recovering from knee surgery and he will be available at the start of next year. In other words, for the second half of the season and he has one significant individual milestone in mind, as MilanNews highlights.

While winning the Champions League remains the biggest goal in his career, he wants to hit triple figures with Milan goalscoring-wise. In 158 appearances for the Rossoneri, he has scored 92 goals and thus just needs eight more to reach the important 100.

These are very impressive figures, especially considering that 36 goals have come during his second spell at the club.

  1. Fantastic stats. We should have never sold him 10 years ago. It would be much better if we let Pato and Robinho go instead.
