MN: Announcement imminent as Pobega signs Milan renewal – the details

By Isak Möller -

Tommaso Pobega has signed a contract renewal and will remain at AC Milan until 2027. Only the official announcement is missing and it could act as a confidence boost for the midfielder.

Pobega returned from his loan spell at Torino earlier this summer and it’s clear that Milan believe a lot in him. He’s done fairly well in pre-season and although more time is needed to fully adapt, Stefano Pioli clearly likes him.

According to MilanNews, Pobega has signed a contract renewal with the club, which will keep him there until 2027. The announcement could arrive in the next few hours, per the report.

The current deal will expire in 2025 and it’s a clear signal from the Rossoneri: they see him as a player for the future. There should be a significant pay rise, as Pobega currently earns €500k per year.

Torino tried to convince Milan to sell him earlier in the summer but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara made their stance clear immediately. A sale cannot be ruled out for the future, but at least the Rossoneri have now safeguarded themselves.
