MN: Jovic going the extra mile to prove himself to Milan – the background

By Ben Dixon -

AC Milan has recently faced uncertainty regarding Luka Jovic and his role. However, after a goal and assist against Frosinone, things could be about to be on the up.

It has been widely reported that Milan will be active in the January mercato for a new striker  given the current situation regarding Olivier Giroud and inconsistencies with the Serbian forward.

Nevertheless, the 25-year-old has shown in the past week that he is determined to go the extra mile to earn his right to continue in a starting role for the Rossoneri – firstly when Giroud returns and then when Milan invests in a new striker.

Looking at the match against Frosinone, the striker contributed twice, scoring his first goal for the Diavolo and then assisting Fikayo Tomori, an excellent performance.

However, it goes deeper than just this. MilanNews has reported that after the disappointing defeat against Borussia Dortmund, he has trained harder and committed himself to further training.

Jovic, alongside a few other teammates, stayed behind after scheduled training to work on different interlinking movements that could be positively used on matchday.
