The renewal of Franck Kessie’s contract has become an absolute priority for Milan given that his current agreement will expire in a year, a report claims.
MilanNews writes how Kessie has become one of the best midfielders in Serie A and the management are worried that his reputation on the international scene has definitely grown, with Premier League clubs having followed his evolution and continuing to monitor him.
This must be a wake-up call for Milan after they lost Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu for nothing, because the management must now find an agreement with Kessie to avoid further time pressures.
The first offer was not satisfactory, as Kessie asked for a figure of around €5m to renew, while Milan’s wage strategy allows for an exception if a player is important enough. The importance of the 24-year-old to Milan cannot be understated, so the hope is that a deal can be reached soon.
