MN: Kjaer provides a worrying and a reassuring update from Qatar on two issues

By Oliver Fisher -

Two important updates arrived from Simon Kjaer while on World Cup duty after an interview he gave to the media, a report has claimed.

Antonio Vitiello writes in his latest column for MilanNews that Kjaer spoke about two topics of note in the interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport. The first was a confirmation, because for weeks sources have been talking about the renewal of Olivier Giroud.

Kjaer essentially said that there will be no problem in ensuring the French striker stays at Milan for another year, and the report mentions that he is in fact moving towards an extension until June 2024.

The second is a less pleasant update and it confirms that Kjaer isn’t doing well from a condition point of view. Just one year ago the Dane suffered a serious knee injury and now he has nuisance in his thigh.

It is nothing serious, but he is not at his best by his own admission and for this reason he preferred not to play against France, and his presence is also at risk against Australia.

    1. It’s not great news. Hopefully Cala is recovered from go in January making Kalulu available at CB again. Thiaw should also get more playing time IMHO.
