MN: Latest from Milanello as Tonali should be back for Atalanta-Milan

By Isak Möller -

Sandro Tonali has more or less recovered from the muscle injury that kept him out of AC Milan’s clash against Udinese. Today, he took part in half of the training session with his teammates.

The midfielder, who was injured in the friendly against Vicenza, is expected to make it back for the game against Atalanta this Sunday. However, it’s still uncertain if he will play from the first minute or not – a matter to decide this weekend.

According to MilanNews, Tonali carried out part of today’s session along with his teammates and he then worked on a personalised program. Everything is going according to plan, in other words, which is great news.

The only player on the injury list come Sunday should be Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who obviously won’t be back until the beginning of 2023. Stefano Pioli had to deal with a lot of injuries last season and he will be hoping for a better situation this campaign.
