The AC Milan squad were back in training today after having been given the day off on Monday following the 3-1 victory over Roma at San Siro.
According to what is being reported by MilanNews, there is one good bit of news that came from today’s session at Milanello and that is regarding Marco Sportiello.
The deputy goalkeeper had been out for many weeks with a muscle injury but he returned to training with the rest of the group. Alessandro Florenzi, meanwhile, continued with his individual work to get rid of muscle fatigue.
We must see when the full-back returns to full training before it is determined whether he can make it back in time for the game at the weekend, which is a Saturday night trip to face Udinese.
Milan started the second half of the 2023-24 Serie A season on the right foot, beating Roma thanks to goals from Yacine Adli, Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez.
After the first 20 matchdays, Milan have collected 42 points, consolidating third place for now. However, the gap to the current leaders Inter at nine points and so there is the need for a formidable run combined with mistakes to grow any hopes of catching them.
How many point did Milan have last season after 20 games? It wasn’t more right?
Around this time last year began our slide downwards. Our legendary January. After 20 rounds we had 38 points
