Paolo Maldini has decided to accept AC Milan’s latest renewal offer, which was put on the table this morning. After a day of intense work at Casa Milan with his lawyers, the announcement is now the only thing missing.
The renewal talks have taken longer than first expected as Maldini asked Elliott and RedBird for more power in the decision-making process. While his demands weren’t satisfied completely, a new offer was tabled this morning.
According to MilanNews, Maldini has decided to say yes and he defined the final details along with lawyers at Casa Milan today. The announcement could arrive in the coming hours but most likely tomorrow. In any case, it’s now really done.
We can only hope that the mercato will unlock with the renewal of Maldini as well as Massara, given that time is of the essence for Milan. They are keen on building on the Scudetto season and to do that, reinforcements are needed.
