MN: Meite’s arrival gives Pioli a perfect situation numerically in the midfield

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, with the signing of Soualiho Meite, have made their first move on the transfer market. And it’s a move that certainly was justified, almost certain to do the team a lot of good.

In a league where injuries and COVID are making the rounds through the squads, Milan were eager to sort the midfield situation, as highlighted by Nicholas Reitano of MilanNews.it. And Meite became the solution.

With the Frenchman in the squad, Stefano Pioli will be able to rely on two duos for the midfield tandem: Franck Kessie-Ismael Bennacer as starters, and Sandro Tonali-Soualiho Meite as the reserves.

Four complementary players, who will give the manager a perfect solution for the remainder of the season. Furthermore, in case of good performances, Milan will be able to sign Meite on a permanent basis (and at a low price).

Very similar to Franck Kessie, Soualiho Meite is a midfielder of substance and great tactical reliability. Growing up in Auxerre, he had the opportunity to mature even in the youth academy of one of the strongest teams in France for several years.
