MN: Milan await results as key duo are due for a check on thigh injuries

By Oliver Fisher -

We will soon know more the condition of injured duo Simon Kjaer and Brahim Diaz, according to a report.

As MilanNews writes, Kjaer and Diaz both missed the Bologna away match due to injury. The Dane has a problem with his rectus femoris muscle in the left thigh, while for the Spanish playmaker the problem is in his left thigh flexor.

Both are scheduled for a weekly check-up to monitor the recovery process from their respective injuries this week. In terms of Sunday’s match against Crotone at San Siro, Diaz’s recovery is more likely than Kjaer’s, the report adds.

Of course, Hakan Calhanoglu is no longer testing positive for Coronavirus so he will very much be in contention to start the game at the weekend in the attacking midfield position, meaning Brahim even being fit enough for the bench would be a big boost, while Fikayo Tomori can stand in for Kjaer again so as to allow him to recover at his own pace.
