Mattia Caldara is expected to leave AC Milan in the summer transfer window and he should stay in Serie A, according to a report.
According to a report from MilanNews, Caldara is moving towards the exit door as Spezia have shown a concrete interest in signing him. The centre-back’s contract will expire in 2024 but he has no place in the current plans and as such will be allowed to depart, with a loan move to the Ligurian club now ‘increasingly probable’.

Caldara has played only two times for Milan since joining and both appearances came in the 2018-19 season, with his time ultimately disrupted by two serious injuries that stopped him generating any real momentum.
It comes after news broke earlier today that Samu Castillejo appears set to leave Milan and join up with Gennaro Gattuso at Valencia as a deal has been agreed and personal terms have also been resolved.
