MN: Milan have two aces up their sleeve as they begin work to sign €20m Salzburg star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping to use two factors to their advantage in the pursuit of Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai, a report claims.

Earlier on Sunday, the midfielder’s agent opened the door for Milan and other interested Serie A clubs by admitting his client would like a move to Italy once the window reopens.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Milan are currently working to lower the demands of Red Bull Salzburg, with a price tag of at least €20million currently set.

However there are two things that could help Milan win the race. The first is the fact Ralf Rangnick will likely be the next manager and he is closely linked to Red Bull.

Meanwhile, the second is linked to the needs of the player. Why choose Milan and not a big European that plays the Champions League? His himself gave the answer between the lines.

“For us, playing a lot is a necessity. We will choose the project to improve as much as possible, in my opinion Dominik has the possibility of being one of the best players in Europe in his role,”

Milan will have to rebuild their midfield from scratch (or almost), as a result Szoboszlai would immediately be a starter, something which plays in the club’s favour massively.
