MN: Milan initiate contacts with entourage of €10m defender – the details

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking for a new centre-back to reinforce the backline for next season. Alessio Romagnoli remains the only unsellable player in that role, while the future of Simon Kjaer and Mateo Musacchio is undecided.

As MilanNews.it reports, it will be necessary to reach an agreement with Sevilla for the Danish international. The Argentine, meanwhile, is ready to evaluate all offers after a season on the bench.

Therefore, the Rossoneri management are working to bring in a centre-back, with an eye to the future. The new name on their wish list is Mohamed Simakan, the 19-year-old (20 in May) who plays for Strasbourg.

In fact, per the report, there have been contacts between Milan and the player’s entourage. In the last hours, there was another call to reiterate the Rossoneri’s appreciation of Simakan, who also can play as a right-back.

This season, the defender has played 25 games in all comps and his price tag is rather low, just over €10m. Once the Coronavirus emergency is over, negotiations could start with the French side.
