MN: Milan directors have ‘no ongoing reflections’ on Fonseca’s position

AC Milan suffered a poor defeat against Atalanta last night, despite it being due to a late goal, as the approach was incredibly disappointing in the second half. However, according to a report, Paulo Fonseca is certainly not at risk.

Milan are currently 12 points behind leaders Atalanta in the standings, with VChampions League even looking difficult for the Rossoneri. It’s thus very clear that something has to change, but Fonseca’s position is not under any scrutiny according to MilanNews.

In fact, as the reliable journalist Antonio Vitiello says, there are ‘no ongoing reflections’ on the future of the manager. The directors agree that the referee made a big mistake on Charles De Ketelaere’s goal last night, which heavily influenced the game.

Should they continue to back Fonseca, then it remains to be seen if the management will give him some reinforcement in January. This is more or less a must at this point, seeing as missing out on the Champions League would be detrimental to the club.

The latter would likely lead to the departure of Theo Hernandez, as Milan would need money to make up for the lost revenue, while there would also be less to spend on the transfer market.

  1. Proves the management aren’t interested in football….despite the occasional hyperbole from Gerry…we are 12th, european football a long shot..we aren’t winning anything….our top players will leave…it’s not a difficult picture to draw….

  2. Without a doubt the worst management of any football team in the history of the sport. They don’t even hide their intentions anymore, what’s the point? There are sheep who pay for tickets and season cards, it’s literally all that matters to them.

  3. Good. I don’t blame Fonseca for us not doing better, I believe in giving him time to work it out and we see where we are in Feb or March.

The board have caused more of these issues than Fonseca, he’s not the one that’s let the likes of Kerkez and CDK go for cheap now making us look ridiculous.

    1. You want to know where we would be by around Feb? Outside of top four mate. Outside of top 4. Yes we may slightly improve as you seem to be hoping for but so will the teams above us too. Juve does not seem exactly happy with their current position either and desperately looking to improve.

Inter Atalanta Napoli and Juve are much more likey to finish in the top 4 spots than us and everyother spots left out of that are equally meaningless.

Only against Inter did we prove to be better than any of these competitors in a match and we’re not favorite to beat any of them teams in the return fixtures.

So basically there are 4 teams better than us on all the important fronts. Not even counting Lazio and the others.Because I’m merely basing the ratings on current positions as the season is still long but I’m highly considering the teams potential strengths too (the hopes).

If you will be satisfied with 5th then it may worth holding on until Feb or May.

  4. What reflections? They brought it upon themselves…they always go for easy cheap abd hire a manager who plays according to their wishes…now God forbid we don’t qualify for champions league means we have to cover the loss means we have to sell our marque player and with less Invetsment without stadium in sight we are back where it all started….

  5. Every big clubs when they not in a good season or in bad era have one of this problem (only just one): 1. Bad management 2. Bad coach, or 3. Bad players. Milan now have all that three. F**k

  6. Incompetent management = incompetent coach.
So why they need fire him?))
Zlatan believes he is a good director , Moncada believes he is transfer guru…

  7. when will these clowns realise that fonseca needs to get sacked? he is 7th might get no european football but they still don’t think about sacking him???? i guess they are happy witha cheap manager

  8. 7th in the league and playing the most boring football ever, how can the management just not care about it? Just sack him already and give a new manager the chance.

There are alot of better managers available like Potter, Terzic, Conceicao, Sarri and Hjulmand.

The management really needs to step up now and actually sack him. Milan will not become a top team under Fonseca and thats just the way it is.

  9. Blows my mind… I don’t know what kind of a long and painful arc this management has planned for the club, but it is ridiculous.

To have a coach derail this Milan to the point of 7th and -12 from the top (well before December) and proclaim faith in him and the project? What is the project???

Again, Milan Management has to come out and explain what the project is to help resolve the animosity around the club, coach and results. Help us understand what the EFF the plan is…

Not sure how much patience even the most optimistic and faithful fans will continue to have in this club and project with the way things are going.

  10. Milan management is a joke ,fonseca is a clown ,ibrahimovic is a mascot ….it’s so
Obvious that with fonseca Europa league is the best he can offer ,he has no title glory attached to his name and the players are definitely not with him
