MN: Milan ready to close the Tonali operation after securing sizeable discount – all the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are close to a complete agreement with Brescia that will see them save a large amount in the Sandro Tonali deal, a journalist has claimed.

No one has ever questioned Tonali’s qualities nor his potential to become a top player, but his first season with Milan was largely inconsistent. The Rossoneri have reflected on the fact they agreed on a loan with option to buy for a total of €25m including bonuses, plus a €10m loan fee that has already been paid.

According to the latest from Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, Milan have held talks with Brescia today to try and define the operation and it is expected to be closed at a total of €25m, which factors in the €10m loan fee already paid plus an extra €15m deriving from a fixed amount plus bonuses.

There is a 20% on future resale in favour of Brescia and perhaps most crucially Primavera star Giacomo Olzer will go the other way, joining the Rondinelle on a permanent basis but with Milan having a buy-back clause.
