MN: Milan to land €10m discount on Tonali deal by including Primavera star as counterpart

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are confident that they will secure the permanent signing of Sandro Tonali from Brescia with a discount, according to a report.

MilanNews writes how talks to sign Tonali from Brescia on a permanent deal are progressing well. The management have never questioned the purchase of the young midfielder and last night they reached a basic agreement with Brescia president Massimo Cellino that must be perfected in the next few hours.

Milan have essentially obtained a €10m discount on the total, but by inserting Primavera star Giacomo Olzer in the negotiations (with a buy-back clause). However, this means that instead of signing Tonali from Brescia for €15m fixed plus €10m in bonuses, Milan will now pay €10m plus €5m bonuses – a significant saving for the club’s accounts.

It seems therefore that the path has been forged for all parties to be happy, with Milan keeping Tonali, Tonali remaining at his boyhood club and Brescia landing a talented player.
