MN: Milan to open talks soon over renewal of key defender – extension until 2024 in mind

By Oliver Fisher -

The Milan management plan to sit down with the entourage of Simon Kjaer and discuss a possible renewal for his client, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Kjaer’s contract renewal is part of the plans of the Rossoneri management, who want to reward him for the impact he has made since his arrival on an initial loan spell from Sevilla back in January 2020.

The performances of the Dane on the pitch and the role he has played off the field make it a no brainer in truth. The centre-back – who is currently still on vacation after reaching the semi-final European Championships – is highly appreciated by head coach Stefano Pioli, his team-mates and the management.

The player is very happy at the club too and that is why soon talks will begin over the renewal of his current contract, which is set to expire in June 2022. The current thought is a two-year extension, therefore until 2024.
