MN: Probable Milan XI for Salernitana game – rest for Tomori; Kalulu to start

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan’s encounter with Salernitana is just six hours away and a new update has arrived on the starting XI for the night. It seems Stefano Pioli will make more than just one change to the team we saw against Sampdoria.

Theo Hernandez was suspended for the last game and he will thus be back from start tonight, but Pioli has also decided to rest Fikayo Tomori. He recently returned from knee surgery and given it’s Salernitana, the decision makes sense.

This means that Pierre Kalulu will start alongside Alessio Romagnoli in the heart of the defence, as reported by MilanNews. Those will be the only changes to the starting XI as Pioli will push for consistency in the upcoming period.

Update: MN have changed their report and they now have Kessie starting as the No.10.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Bennacer; Messias, Kessie, Leao; Giroud.

Milan are currently one point ahead of Inter but could make it four points tonight, granted Inter could reduce the gap tomorrow against (taking on Sassuolo). Putting pressure on the Nerazzurri will be the key, though.
