Even when he isn’t at Stefano Pioli’s disposal, Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes a difference for this AC Milan side. This has been made clear by many of the Rossoneri players and Pierre Kalulu is the latest one to attest to it.
Kalulu is one of the players that have had tremendous growth since joining Milan, mentored by both Pioli and Ibrahimovic at Milanello. The latter knows what it means to play for this club and that aspect has been crucial.
In an interview with Eurosport, which you can read in full here, Kalulu was asked about Ibrahimovic and the difference the Swede makes. He stated that they owe everything to the striker in terms of the recent success.
“He still has a very important place in the locker room and on the pitch, where he has scored many goals again this season. We can say that it is notably thanks to him that we are on the right track today. It is now up to us to prove that we understood what he was trying to convey. When he comes back, we will certainly be even better,” he stated.
The 40-year-old is currently injured but his aim is to be back for the Coppa Italia semi-final against Inter. The first leg will take place on March 1 and having him available would be a boost for the Rossoneri.
