MN: Probable Milan XI to face Vicenza – Pioli must decide two battles

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli and his AC Milan will face Vicenza in the final friendly clash of the pre-season tomorrow evening. It’s thus the last chance for the players to prove themselves and news has filtered on the starting XI.

The Rossoneri have done well this pre-season, with three wins and one loss in the bag, and we are starting to see the foundations of a team. Many of the players have picked up form quickly, such as Olivier Giroud, and that is a good sign.

For tomorrow’s clash, as per MilanNews, Pioli should field a strong team as he wants to test what could be the XI for the opener against Udinese. However, there are two battles that he needs to decide before kick-off.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Hernandez; Bennacer, Tonali; Messias, Adli, Leao; Giroud.

Junior Messias and Yacine Adli are both currently the favourites to play from start, which isn’t surprising given their performances this pre-season. Alexis Saelemaekers and Brahim Diaz are still in the running, though, and shouldn’t be completely ruled out.
