MN: Milanello send-off had huge impact on players ahead of Juve game – “We can’t let them down”

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan fans played a big role in yesterday’s crucial win over Juventus as their support spurred the team on, according to a report.

MilanNews provides a reconstruction of what happened around 10:30am on Sunday, as the two coaches with the team on board left Milanello. The torches of the Curva Sud served as a backdrop for the two vehicles that plowed through the red smoke, but inside the team bus the players really felt the warmth of the fans.

The report adds that the players, seeing the almost 3000 fans send them on their way, looked each other in the eyes and the concept was more or less this: “We can’t let them down”. Ibrahimovic even came forward to the driver’s seat and encouraged the fans to sing louder as the people went crazy with chants, flags, drums and banners.

The procession clear made a mark on the squad as the entire pre-match were stunned by the support, even inside the hotel in Turin, because the images bounced on all the social networks. They then wanted to everything and more to make all those people proud.
