MN: More bad news for Pioli as Rebic is set to join Calhanoglu on sidelines for Celtic and Roma

By Oliver Fisher -

There has been yet another blow dealt to AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli as Ante Rebic looks set to miss the next two games, a report claims.

The Croatian winger dislocated his elbow before the international break during the 2-0 away win over Crotone, and though a return in two weeks was expected he is still struggling with the injury.

Rebic had another meeting with the club’s medical staff last Thursday and it was decided not to rush the recovery time and to continue the conservative therapy, so as not to worsen the issue, meaning he missed the derby against Inter.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Rebic will also be forced to miss the game against Roma. He will continue his personalised recovery programme for another week which forbids him from coming into contact with team-mates.

It seems therefore that the like return date is the Europa League group stage game against Sparta Praha. It comes on the same day that Hakan Calhanoglu has been ruled out for the next three or four games with an ankle sprain.
