Milan brought in Fikayo Tomori during the January transfer window, securing him on a six-month loan with an option to buy from Chelsea. It has turned out to be a fantastic signing, as the centre-back now is a key player.

In his post-match press conference, which you can read here, Stefano Pioli made the Rossoneri’s stance clear as he confirmed they want to keep Tomori. And with the €28m buy-out clause in the contract, it’s all in their hands to sign him permanently.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the performances of the centre-back have justified the investment even in COVID-times. Milan will surely try to lower the price tag but if they can’t, they will exercise the clause in the end.

And just like Pioli, Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are convinced by the player and there isn’t any doubt with regards to the future. In less than three months, Tomori has managed to convince everyone and the future is emerging.
