MN: Positive news for Milan as Duarte avoids serious injury – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Leo Duarte was ready to get back on the pitch, but then bad luck struck. In fact, he will be out once again, following the serious injury that kept him out between November and March.

Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews.it, reported that the Brazilian had sustained a muscle injury during yesterday’s training. They added that a recovery phase of 3-4 weeks is likely, a big blow for the defender of course.

However, MilanNews.it have contradicted these reports this evening, stating that Duarte managed to avoid a serious injury. In fact, the former Flamengo man is just suffering from an overload without any visible damage.

Therefore, the recovery phase should take just two weeks, at most, for the 23-year-old who is eager to prove his worth at the club. With Simon Kjaer and Mateo Musacchio ahead in the pecking order, it will be hard for him to get any playing time.
