By Isak Möller -

The pre-season will truly kick off for AC Milan next week as they will participate in their first friendly game, taking on Rapid Wien on Saturday. It will be Paulo Fonseca’s first clash in charge of the Rossoneri.

Pre-season began on Monday this week and Fonseca had some interesting things to say during his press conference the same day. However, as highlighted by MilanNews, the pre-season will properly kick off next week with the first friendly scheduled.

On Saturday evening, more specifically at 17:30 CEST, Milan will take on Rapid Wien in Austria and Fonseca will get his first glimpse of his players during a game. It will be the first of several friendlies this summer, with a US tour also scheduled during which they will face Barcelona among others.

Training will resume as usual from tomorrow, with the players given some rest today, and there will be several double sessions. This is something that Fonseca has brought back to get the team fully ready for the upcoming season, not wasting any time.

Monday 15th: double session
Tuesday 16th: double session
Wednesday 17th: single training
Thursday 18th: double session
Friday 19th: double session
Saturday 20th: friendly against Rapid Wien
Sunday 21st: day off
